Ironworx Gym has issued the challenge to all the other area gyms, fire departments and police departments, plus teams from Nucor, Big River Steel,Tenaris, AG, ART, Primetals, Denso and all the other area industries to compete for their pride and for cash in The Ironworx Gym Ultimate Tug O' War Contest at Walker Park on Saturday, July 21.

The Ultimate Winners walk away with their pride, and with the cash!

Official Rules

  • Teams should consist of 5 players each
  • There is a registration fee of $100/team
  • The first team to pull the center marker over their side of the pool wins
  • The tournament will be double elimination, bracket style 
  • Pulling from a seated position on the ground is not allowed. If a player falls, he/she must quit pulling on the rope until they get back up in a standing position.
  • If a team member falls, it is a penalty. If your team gets 2 penalties you lose that match.
  • Cleats are not allowed
  • You may have up to 2 alternate team members who can play in the event of an absent teammate, or injury. No one other than the people registered to play on that team are allowed to play.

Release of Liability
I know that participation in physical fitness related events involving running, climbing, uneven surfaces, etc. is a potentially hazardous activity.  

 

I represent that I am medically able and properly trained to participate in this event.   I assume all risks associated with this event including, but not limited to, heat exhaustion, falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, etc., all such risks being known and recognized by me.  

 

I hereby agree, for myself and anyone representing me to waive, release, and forever discharge IRONWORX Gym & Fitness Center, Discover Blytheville, Main Street Marketing & Media Co, any and all volunteers, sponsors, or any other assisting personnel connected with this event, any rights, claims, or demands therefore which I may have or which I may hereafter accrue to me arising out of injury to my person or my property incurred in connection with participation in the IRONWORX GYM Ultimate Tug of War held on July 21st, 2018.

 

If members of your team are under the age of 18, you will need a parents signature.
